Our Mission
Horizon is committed to being a presence in our neighborhood and community. We do this through service, such as 'adopting' low-income children at Christmas, feeding the homeless, and collecting money and items for people in need.

AMOR MINISTRIES
Our church partners with Amor Ministries to build a house for a family in need in Mexico. For the last 40 years, Amor has been working to keep families together by building homes and other means. They share the grace and love of Jesus by providing security, safety, and stability to families who would otherwise be without.

IGLESIAS EMBAJADORES DE JESUS
Iglesias Embajadores de Jesus (IEJ) is a church in Tijuana that quickly turned into a refugee home. Since opening their doors to refugees that were unable to cross the border, their organization has grown to hold over 1,000 refugees. Their site now has a playground for the children and a community garden. They rely on regular support and donations to keep providing food and shelter for Central Americans fleeing to find refuge in the United States.
Horizon supports IEJ through regular donation drives, sending teams, and providing financial support.
REACH UGANDA
Rescue African Children, known as REACH, is a registered nonprofit Ugandan organization with the primary purpose of rescuing the orphans, street children, and other disadvantaged young ones from the suffering of poverty and AIDS in Uganda, Africa. REACH is the bridge between those that provide support, the children, their families, and the church of Jesus Christ.
There are many ways that you can help our efforts to support our friends at REACH and our neighbors in Uganda.
You don’t have to travel across the world to support REACH! There is so much you can do to Rescue African Children from right here at home. Here are some other ways you can make a real difference:
-
Prayer – Pray for REACH, Pastor Fred in Uganda, Omega Church and the children of Omega School. Pray for the missions team here at Horizon as they prep and plan for their trip in 2020. And, pray for God to prepare the hearts of those who are supposed to go on this trip with us.
-
Sponsor – For $26 per month, REACH is able to provide a child with school fees, books, a uniform, supplies, medical attention, and at least one hot meal per day while at school.
-
Donate – There are projects that need attention at REACH. Currently, they are experiencing serious food shortages.
