Hey everyone. This is it - the highlight of the church year... the week of Christ's passion!
Over the years, we have learned to give this week our full attention, so that God can renew our faith and ground us again in our Christian identity.
For this week I am praying the following prayer out of Psalm 51 for myself and for our church:
Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me.
Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.
For this week, we have prepared readings for every day, and services for the week (see link below)
Here is the list of our services:
Maundy Thursday - from 7 to 8 p.m. we will recreate the night of the upper room with Jesus and his disciples. Bring your kids as we will sing songs, read stories and eat food from that night.
Good Friday - from 7 to 8 p.m. we will remember the night of Jesus crucifixion and what it means for our lives.
Easter Sunday - In our worship we will flower the cross as we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus. Bring a friend to our 9 or 10:45 services.
Please join in and pray as well that this week God would restore in all of us the joy of His saving work in our lives.
