What We Believe
Our Beliefs
The Creeds
Our beliefs are best expressed by the Church's foundational creeds: the Apostles’ Creed, the Nicene Creed, and the Athanasian Creed.

The term “creed” comes from the Latin credo, meaning “I believe.” They are statements of our fundamental beliefs about God. In reciting and affirming these creeds, we join Christians worldwide and throughout the ages in affirming our faith in the one God who creates, redeems, and sanctifies us.

Baptism
At Horizon we affirm and practice a dual approach to baptism which includes both “paedo” and “credo” baptisms. We believe this dual approach to baptism is most consistent with our “three streams ministry” (Three Streams = Evangelical, Liturgical & Charismatic) and gives honor to the diversity of traditions and backgrounds represented within our community.

Our next baptism will be Sunday, October 12th.
Our next child dedication will be Sunday, November 23rd.
Membership &
Confirmation
Membership is a yearly commitment congregants make in our local church where we renew our commitment to Christ and his Kingdom, and to the work of the church both universal and local.

Confirmation is for anyone who has been baptized and wants to make a mature confession of faith within the Anglican tradition by publicly renewing the promises made at baptism.

Our next new members class will be on Wednesdays in October. You can register here.
